1/31/17 – EE178 Parts Kits

EE178 Students,

As you may already know, you are required to purchase electronics components for use in the lab section of the course. Thankfully, the UB IEEE Student Branch has been working diligently with the EE department to obtain and assemble these components for you.

The kits will cost a total of $35 and only cash payments will be accepted.

We will be selling at the following times beginning tomorrow (Wednesday 2/1/17) through next week Friday 1/10/17 in 406 Furnas:

Monday: 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Tuesday: 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Wednesday: 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM
Thursday: 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Fridays: 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM
If the office door is open at other times you are welcome to stop by and buy a kit. They will be sold first come first serve.

10/24/16 – Speaker Event

This Thursday, October 27, there will be a speaker on campus from the IEEE national organization. The topic will be “Instrument Transformer and Reactor Product Design and Application in Today’s Grid.” Please email Maggie at mcd9@buffalo.edu if you are interested in attending by no later than Tuesday, October 25. 9/17/16 – Project Meeting Times

If you are interested in getting more involved with IEEE consider attending a project meeting! Look on our “Projects” page to see who will be running the meetings and learn more about the projects themselves from the “Projects” menu in the navigation bar.

Battlebot – Tuesdays and Thursdays at 1 PM
Hardware Workshop – Tuesdays at 5 PM
Software Workshop – Tuesdays at 6 PM
Micromouse – Wednesdays at 6 PM

Feel free to email the project leaders at any time if would like more information.

8/31/16 – Fall General Body Meeting

Welcome back to UB for another great semester! Our Fall General Body Meeting will be held on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at 7:00 PM in Knox 110. Come join us to hear about club projects and events you can get involved with, all are welcome.

EE312/EE352 Students,

As you may already know, you are required to purchase electronics components for use in the lab section of the course. Thankfully, the UB IEEE Student Branch has been working diligently with the EE department to obtain and assemble these components for you.

The kits will cost a total of $80 and only cash payments will be accepted.

We will be selling at the following times for the first two weeks of classes (starting Monday, August 29):
Monday: 2:30 – 4:30 PM & 6:30 – 7:30 PM
Tuesday/Thursday: 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM & 1:00 -2:30 PM
Wednesday/Friday: 2:30 – 5:30 PM

*Note we will not be selling on Labor Day (Sept. 5) as the university will be closed

 

6/21/16- Orientation Club Fair

Come visit IEEE at orientation this summer! We will have a table set up at the club fair from 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM on the following dates:

2/1/15 – Meeting Times Announced!

After hours of deliberation, we’ve decided on our project meeting times for the Spring semester. They are as follows:

Software – Mon @ 4
Battlebot – Mon @ 8:30
MicroMouse – Tues @ 6
Hardware – Thurs @ 5
Drone – Fri @ 6

1/26/15 – It’s Been a While…

We hope you enjoyed your winter break! IEEE will be having a General Body Meeting on Wednesday, January 28th at 7:00pm in Davis 113Y. We’ll be discussing our current projects as well as some upcoming events. Also, Kyle Thompson (vice president extraordinaire, distinguished future alumnus, and current student at the State University of New York at Buffalo) will be giving out his autograph to the first 100 people at the meeting. We hope to see you there!

9/16/14 – IEEEXtreme Announced!

UB IEEE is happy to announce it will be participating in IEEEXtreme, a world-wide programming competition hosted by the national IEEE organization. See the IEEEXtreme page for more info and to sign-up!


9/8/14 – UB Gettin’ Dirty
